Examples (used to soften an unpleasant statement):

I'm afraid I can't save you this time. - Smeḥ-li, beṣṣeḥ ma neqder-c nsellek-k had l-xeṭra.

I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying. - Smeḥ-li, beṣṣeḥ ma fhemt-c war ṛa-k tqul.

I'm afraid you've run out of options. - Smeḥ-li, beṣṣeḥ cekkit belli xlaṣu-lek l-xetyarat.
