Alcohol

Alcohol, (noun), alkul (alkulat).

Alcohol license, tesriḥ (taɛ l-biɛ) taɛ l-alkul.


Examples:

Don't drink any alcohol. - Ma tecṛeb-c gaɛ l-alkul.

Farid abused alcohol and pain pills. - Farid ketteṛ men l-alkul u l-kaciyat taɛ l-wǧeɛ.

Farid can't drink alcohol. - Farid ma yeqder-c yecṛeb l-kuḥul.

He has never tasted alcohol. - Ɛmeṛ-u ma daq l-alkul.

I prefer cakes or candies to alcohol, but I do drink. - Ana nfeḍḍel nakul l-patisri wella l-ḥelwa wala necṛeb l-alkul, beṣṣeḥ ana necṛeb tani.

My favorite bar had its liquor license suspended for serving alcohol to minors. - L-baṛ taɛ-i l-mfeḍḍel neḥḥaw-lu t-tesriḥ taɛ-u taɛ l-alkul ki baɛ l-mecṛubat l-kuḥuliyya l-d-drari.
