Taxi

Taxi, (noun), ṭaksi (ṭaksiyat).

Taxi driver, cifuṛ taɛ ṭaksi (cwafṛa taɛ ṭ-ṭaksiyat).


Examples:

I called Farid a taxi. - Ɛeyyeṭt l-ṭaksi bac iǧi yeddi Farid.

I got in the taxi. - Ṭleɛt l-ṭ-ṭaksi.


Note: The term "cifuṛ taɛ ṭaksi" literally means "taxi driver." The word for "taxi driver" in Algiers Arabic is the Algerian French loanword "taxieur," and its plural is "les taxieurs."
