Think, (verb), 1- (assume), ɛembal-(u).

2- (believe), cekk.

3- (reflect), xemmem.

4- Do you thin…? - Ɛla ḥsab-k…? Nta fi miz-k…?

5- To think (sth) over, ɛawed xemmem (ɛla kac ḥaǧa).


Examples (assume):

I thought it was OK to do that. - Ɛembal-i maɛlic idir l-waḥed had c-ci.

I thought you weren't supposed to tell anyone about that. - Ɛembal-i ma kan-c lazem tqul had c-ci l-ḥetta waḥed.


Examples (believe):

I think I'm a safe driver. - Cekkit ana nṣug b-l-ɛqel.

I think I've done enough already. - Cekkit wac dert yekfi.

I think I've had a little too much to drink. - Cekkit cṛebt cwiyya fuq l-lazem.

I think we could've done that better. - Cekkit kunna qadrin ndiru had c-ci xir men hakda.

I really helped Farid a lot, I think. - Cekkit belli ɛawent Farid bezzaf.


Examples (do you think…?):

Do you think Farid knows about what we did? - Ɛla ḥsab-k, Farid ɛlabal-u wac derna?


Examples (to think over):

I've thought it over. - Ɛawedt xemmemt ɛla had c-ci.
